A Rum Bar on a Boat is popping up in King's Cross, London!

by VAIVAIMAGAZINE • 29 May 2017

While Johnny Depp is making the pirate’s life deeply unsexy. This rum-on-the-waves looks pretty good to us.

And there probably won’t be any actual pirates involved. But the rum at this pop-up boat bar will be Navy-strength.

Popular Kentish Town cocktail bar Ladies & Gentlemen is hosting a pop-up on a working barge, which it’s steering to a base in King’s Cross. On board, L&G will mix rum cocktails including piña colada slushies! Punters will be able to book one-hour booze cruises along the canal too, for just £15 a ticket.

Most of the time, the Wood’s Navy Rum Shack will be moored in King’s Cross, where it’ll be free to hop on board and the crew will be hosting two rum sheds: one serving more killer cocktails, the other serving grub.

Classics cocktails will be shaken alongside original creations such as the Jungle Bird Twist. which has rum, pineapple, orgeat and lemon, and the Greenheart Grog, the boat’s signature serve, blending rum with pink grapefruit, lime juice, honey and ginger beer, made to replicate the grog served on ships back in the good old, bad old days.

Find the Wood’s Navy Rum Shack at Goods Way, N1C 4BH. Open daily throughout June, noon-midnight. One-hour barge trips can be booked in advance here for £15.
